Origami Capital acquires $135 million of fund-level debt and facilitates the restructuring of a middle market private equity fund, gaining exposure to a diversified mix of private equity and credit assets
Chicago, IL, February 10, 2021 – Origami Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in complex special situations across asset classes, announces the acquisition of a fund-level note. The acquisition facilitated the restructuring of a fund with a diversified portfolio; the transaction, comprised of more than two dozen unique debt and equity positions across healthcare, media, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, telecom and technology industries, called upon Origami’s collaborative approach and complex transaction experience to solve the problems presented. Post-investment, Origami will continue to collaborate with the Fund’s general partner to inject additional capital into the underlying businesses, enabling the Fund to capitalize on accretive opportunities and manage through COVID-19 related disruptions.
