Origami Capital announces further expansion of team with new hires in Chicago

Origami hires three new team members to position the firm for continued growth

Chicago, IL December 2, 2021 – Origami Capital Partners (“Origami”), a private equity firm offering flexible capital solutions, welcomes three new team members.

Sarah Rajan joins Origami as a Vice President. Sarah brings valuable expertise in sourcing, closing, and managing growth-stage technology investments. In her role, Sarah will oversee asset management throughout the investment’s lifecycle. She will also work to create and maintain critical market relationships that grow Origami Capital and drive returns for our investors.

Prior to joining Origami, Sarah worked as an investment professional at Advantage Capital. Advantage is a $1.5 billion fund that focuses on underserved markets with both debt and equity capital investments.

Sarah earned a B.A. in Economics, cum laude, from The University of Chicago and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Joshua Sacks joins the firm as a Senior Associate. At Origami, Josh will evaluate and execute private equity, credit, venture, and real estate investments for Origami. Prior to Origami, Josh worked at First Eagle Alternative Credit (formerly THL Credit) and as a Senior Associate at Lexington Partners. In his prior roles, Josh evaluated and executed new investments and managed existing portfolio positions for both firms. Josh began his career at Moelis & Company where he served as an analyst in mergers and acquisitions.

Josh graduated from Indiana University with his BS in Finance and International Business. Josh anticipates graduating from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with his M.B.A. in June, 2022.

Origami rounds out the new hires with Mason Kim as a new Associate. Mason brings experience in recapitalizations and restructurings from his time at Greenhill & Co. In addition, he successfully structured and executed both in and out-of-court restructurings, distressed M&A, and special situation transactions at Houlihan Lokey. At Origami, he will evaluate and execute private equity, growth, and special situation investments.

Mason holds an HBA in Finance from Ivey Business School.
