Origami Capital Partners announces a structured growth investment in Pinnacle, an experiential marketing agency, and further Origami team expansion with new hires in Chicago and Austin

Chicago, IL, June 8, 2023 – Origami Capital Partners, a private equity firm that invests in complex special opportunities across asset classes, announced the closing of a structured growth investment in Pinnacle, an industry leader in experiential marketing. Origami earmarked follow-on capital to support the future acquisition strategy at Pinnacle.

Pinnacle represents Origami’s second investment from its fund V for which it held an initial close in the first quarter of 2023.

Origami is also excited to announce the addition of two new team members in Chicago and Austin.

Tom Sutrinaitis joins Origami in Chicago, IL as a Vice President, Business Development. Tom brings valuable expertise in sourcing technology opportunities. In his role, Tom will work to create and maintain critical market relationships that grow Origami and drive returns for our investors.

Prior to joining Origami, Tom worked as a Vice President at Silicon Valley Bank. Tom earned a B.A. in Economics from The University of Chicago.

Jess Foster joins Origami in Austin, TX as a Senior Associate on the investment team. In his role, Jess will evaluate and execute private equity, credit, and venture investments. Prior to joining Origami, Jess worked at Marlin Equity Partners where he evaluated and executed new software investments and managed existing portfolio positions. Jess began his career as a technology-focused investment banking analyst at UBS. Jess earned a B.S. in Finance from Brigham Young University.

In addition to the new hires, Origami announces the promotions of Joshua Sacks to Vice President and Sam Eduljee to Senior Associate.

Joshua and Sam joined Origami in 2021 and 2022 as Senior Associate and Associate, respectively, and continue to demonstrate daily their ability to source, execute and manage a diverse group of investments.
