Truls Porter

Truls is an Operating Partner at Origami, where he provides strategic and investment advisory support to the firm. He draws on more than a decade of experience sourcing, evaluating, and executing investments across software, business services, financial services, and other middle-market industries.

Prior to transitioning to his current advisory role, Truls served as a Principal at Origami, where he led business development efforts and was responsible for identifying, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities. He worked closely with fund managers, investment bankers, lenders, and restructuring professionals to source transactions where Origami could add value.

In addition to his work with Origami, Truls is the founder of DevCap Growth, an investment platform focused on acquiring and scaling middle-market software and services businesses.

Before joining Origami, Truls was a Vice President at Wells Fargo Capital Finance, where he sourced, evaluated, and executed corporate loans across a variety of business units, including asset-based, technology/SaaS finance, lender finance, and healthcare finance. He previously served as a Relationship Manager within Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking Group, where he focused on sourcing, underwriting, and managing middle-market corporate loans.

Truls holds a BS, magna cum laude, in Business Administration from Babson College.
